
1. Site survey
The installer inspects your meter cupboard, available space and connection to solar panels or inverter. Distances, ventilation and accessibility are measured; free circuits and main switch capacity are checked. The intended battery location is assessed: floor or wall, temperature and clearance.
Afterwards you know whether the chosen location works, what meter cupboard work may be needed and whether outdoor mounting is realistic. This article does not cover quotes — but you will understand next steps and scheduling.

You
Ensure access to meter cupboard and intended battery location. Have inverter details (brand/model on sticker) or P1 information ready. Allow 45–90 minutes; no drilling or mounting during the survey.
